Virtual Reality Training System - PhD Scholarship

Investigation of virtual reality tools for simulation of manual welding tasks. The work will require the development of a prototype system to enable the manipulative skills required by welders to be tested. The research will involve real time software to control and interface with head up visual displays and electro mechanical manipulators. Prior experience with real time software and its application to hardware control would be useful.
